The Oliver Wolcott Certificate Award is given to Masons or non-Masons in recognition of outstanding service to the community which exemplifies the ancient Masonic teachings of concern for the well-being of mankind and of belief in the worldwide Brotherhood of Man.
Oliver Wolcott, Jr. was a distinguished community leader, United States District Judge, Founder of the Bank of North America, Secretary of the Treasury, Governor of Connecticut, 1817 – 1827, Grand Master of Masons in Connecticut 1818 – 1820.
The award shall be requested for and presented by a chartered subordinate Lodge of the Grand Lodge of Connecticut and signed by the Master and Secretary of the requesting Lodge and the Grand Master.
The Lodge shall request the award through the Grand Secretary at any time during the year and the award approved by the Grand Master.
